GTI, Jetta And Passat Boost Sales March 2, 2006 Early sales of the just-launched GTI, along with the popular Jetta and Passat, gave Volkswagen a boost in the US last month of 21.3 percent. With increases over February 2005 of 105.2, 10.6 and 47 percent, respectively, Volkswagen Of America sold 16,329 vehicles. For the year, the automaker was up a considerable 24.6 percent. In Canada, VW sales were also up, by 10.6 percent.
