Elegant Eos At Pebble Beach
Aug. 18, 2006

An elegant design study of the Eos will debut at this weekend's Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach.
Named after the famous Pacific Coast Highway, the Eos Highway 1 combines elegance and sport.
Elegance comes in the form of a special leather interior with piano- black lacquer trim, while the sport attributes include a lowered suspension, massive 20-inch Mille Miglia alloy wheels shod with low- profile performance rubber, and a subtle trunk spoiler.
The Highway 1 is powered by a 3.2-liter 250-horsepower version of Volkswagen's VR6 engine. The transmission is VW's acclaimed DSG dual-clutch six-speed, which offers both auto and manual modes.
While the Eos Highway 1 is not slated for production, the turbo four- cylinder goes on sale in North America this month — with the V6 model following on Oct. 2.
